Berwyn is seen here at the Merstam Model Steam show in May 2004. Berwyn is an 0-4-0 saddle tank with outside frames, cylinders and cranks. Inside valve gear of Stephenson link motion and Festiniog style tender. Working pressure 100 psi; tractive effort at 85% WP = 343 lbs. Driving wheel dia 6.5" Cylinders 2.25" x 5.184" Length of engine 52.5", Boiler Dia 8.25" She was built by Frank Smith a long standing model engineer member of Malden DSME. She is now privatly owned.
