No. 1. 0-4-0 saddle tank with outside frames, cylinders and cranks. Inside valve gear (Stephenson link motion). Working pressure 150 psi; tractive effort at 80% WP = 1368 lbs. Modelled on the Hunslet Engine Co.'s quarry design it was the first engine to have been built (1995) from scratch at Bressingham. Pulls up to 36 people in three carriages |
